I talked with Egan and Tommy a little earlier about the possibility of updating the blog from the set while we're shooting this weekend. Blogger has added some mobile blogging functionality, and we're going to try it out. So keep refreshing this page overnight Saturday-Sunday for some behind the scenes pictures, commentary about the shoot, and maybe even some audio clips.

I'll also be sending smoke signals while Egan taps out morse code to the troups overseas.
Also, at some point in the middle of filming tonight we will light the beacon of Gondor, to summon the Riders of Rohan to the aid of Minas Tirith against the forces of Mordor.
